LESSON POLICY 2005 - 2006

1.) Private lessons will be held on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The fees are $14 per half hour and $28 per hour.

2.) All lessons are payable by the month, in advance. Please make the payment on or before the first lesson of each month.

3.) Lessons missed or cancelled by students will not be refunded. If necessary, I will allow one rescheduled lesson per month.

4.) Occasionally, circumstances may make it necessary for me to cancel a lesson. In this case the lesson can be rescheduled or excused for that week. If excused, the lesson fee will be credited to the next month.

This is a policy used by nearly all other types of instructional institutions such as dance studios, gymnastics centers, nursery schools, Karate schools, etc…My expenses do not change if a student misses his or her lesson. Therefore, the time that is set-aside for each student should be paid for whether or not it is used by the student.

I have chosen drum teaching as my livelihood and this is the only way that any form of steady income can be guaranteed to my family. Also I take drumming seriously and I expect my students to take it seriously as well. I've found that regular weekly lesson attendance and daily focused practicing is a must to ensure progress.
